Purpose:
Honouring the United Nations Year of Indigenous Languages will bring together Indigenous voices from around the world in a celebration and honouring of their importance here in the heart of Noongar country. Local Noongar Elders will host the visiting artists, speakers, activists, healers and thinkers. Language will be a linking theme, woven throughout the entire festival, with an emphasis on listening to Indigenous languages in order to better understand the world we live in, and each other.
