Developing a community-based psychosocial intervention for young people with mental illness
Purpose:
The overall aim is to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate a community-based program for youth with serious mental illness. The tangible outcome of this research will be the development of a trauma-informed, community-based mental health program that has been designed by youth, for youth, to effectively meet their unique psychosocial needs. It is intended that the program improves psychosocial functioning, reduces symptom severity, and enhances the life trajectory of these vulnerable youth.
