Purpose:
This project will translate advancements in battery technology into a scalable manufacturing process for the production and optimisation of fully electric tool carriers tailored for use across hard rock and critical minerals underground mine environments. This would apply advanced manufacturing processes to integrate Australian developed Li-ion battery technology into diesel 20-tonne integrated tool carriers. BME will generate essential production and process knowledge required to scale output, and deliver Australia's first commercially and operationally viable alternative to diesel fleet.
