Purpose:
In collaboration with local Dulgaburra Yidinji Elders, master puppet-maker Daniele Poidomani and local participants will create a giant Rainforest Puppet Man "Junggaburru" for inclusion in the October 2019 Tablelands Folk Festival in Yungaburra North Queensland. In muted tones of ochre and green, his cloak leaf-like, with tendrils of vine curling through his hair. He carries a dilly bag across his back. In it, clearly readable is 'Welcome to Country' in Dulgaburra Yidinji language. He strolls through the festival, stopping occasionaly to rest under a shady tree, sharing Country, Culture and Language in a sign of reconciliation and Education
