The CDU Drone Program
Purpose:
The CDU Drone program provides a pathway into STEM careers for Northern Territory youth. The program will target years 9 - 12 and consists of a hands-on STEM experience and nationally recognised/accredited VET qualification. Throughout the program, students will explore the Territorys unique drone industry and the STEM career pathways it provides. They will learn how to fly safely and legally and be tasked with using drones to solve real-world STEM problems. The STEM experience will provide a critical bridge into a Certificate III qualification, building a sustainable pathway into a range of STEM careers. The program will be offered in schools, festivals, and remote communities of the Northern Territory.
