Purpose:
Bendigo Woollen Mills Pty Ltd is a specialist manufacturer of natural wool from a fibre stage to spun yarn. The project will upgrade and customise the existing fibre carding machine to significantly modernise and increase production capacity and build innovative processing features to handle both short and medium fibres. The company will introduce ERP modules for manufacturing, replacing the existing excel spreadsheets used to monitor day–to–day production activities. Transformation and modernisation of the company’s production processes are expected to significantly improve business capability and competitiveness. The project will upskill existing employees and create 8 new jobs following project implementation.
