Purpose:
Through its project, Elphinstone Pty Ltd, located in Burnie, TAS, will develop two prototype battery electric underground mining support vehicles, providing the technology platform from which to convert their remaining suite of underground mining products to battery electric. The project itself will initially create 15 new jobs, with many more planned as the prototype machines eventually enter production. This project will ensure the ongoing viability of Elphinstone underground mining products, assisting their global customer base to meet bold decarbonisation targets.
