Purpose:
Coonabarabran High School is sending a team of 20 students to Sydney to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition in 2022. The robotics competition combines the excitement of sport with the rigours of STEM while the Tech Challenge gives students and their adult mentors the opportunity to work and create together to solve a common problem. Students are immersed in a real world engineering experience building and competing with a robot of their own design. Students develop critical 21st century STEM skills as well as honing their interpersonal and communication skills they gain practical knowledge in design principles, technology and innovation using sophisticated software and hardware.
