Purpose:
The Australian Meteorological & Oceanographic Society (AMOS) is launching a national video competition for national science week, inviting school–aged children to explore weather & climate in their local surroundings and present it in a 2–minute video, with prizes awarded to winning entries in each state/territory. In an online video, a high profile weather presenter will show how they create their weather segments, where & how they get their weather info, tips on how to present on screen, shooting on location, and what props to use. Entrants & the public can access resource kits on weather data, how we interpret weather patterns, and how we adapt to climate change on the comp website.
