Australia-China High-Tech Industry Dialogue Programme
An annual bilateral program of dialogues of high-tech Australian and Chinese companies, start-ups and universities will boost interactions and connections in innovation and startup sectors. The primary topic of discussions will be the promotion and development of bilateral innovation clusters in advanced technologies.
As an example, the Torch program has tremendous potential benefits to Australia’s ability to deliver game changing innovation to global markets. Two TORCH innovation precincts have been set up in Sydney and the Gold Coast. The program of innovation dialogues can drive the foundation of a TORCH Innovation Precinct in Melbourne with a health and medical focus and the creation of an annual bilateral Innovation Conference. It will demonstrate the enormous potential of such cooperative ventures to the Australian public and showcase Australian entrepreneurship and innovation in translation of world-class medical research and technology to China.
