Novel Testing Strategies for Endocrine Disruptors in the Context of Developmental NeuroToxicity: Australian Component
Purpose:
Modern children are exposed to many man-made chemicals. An Australian birth cohort study will be investigate how common exposure in utero really is and whether higher exposure is linked to attention deficit disorder and autism spectrum disorder. This project is the Australian contribution to an international effort to understand potentially harmful chemical effects on the developing child’s brain and to improve the testing and regulation of chemicals, particularly in early life.
