PREFERABLE: Project on Exercise for Fatigue Eradication in Advanced Breast cancer to improve quality of life
Purpose:
Advanced breast cancer patients experience debilitating side effects which compromise their physical, mental and social wellbeing. Nine out of 10 people with advanced breast cancer suffer from fatigue that limits their ability live a normal life. No effective management strategies are available for these patients and as a consequence, they are left to suffer with serious fatigue for the rest of their lives. This project proposes and evaluates a potential solution – targeted exercise medicine.
