Run in partnership with the Kore Press Foundation (KPF); the program will continue to offer a bi-annual exchange between Australian and Korean journalists to develop partnerships in areas of shared interest in a bilateral, regional and global context. This project facilitates an important ongoing exchange of ideas and expertise.
 
Given the complex challenges our region faces, broad and enduring partnerships between Koreans and Australians in all fields are more important than ever before. We need communities committed to building greater economic and cultural engagement. Each exchange will involve several days of meetings with government, media and industry bodies. 
 
Proposed schedule: 
•            October/November 2022 Australia will host 4 x Korean journalists + KPF representative
•            April 2023 4 x Australian journalists and Walkley representative visit Korea.
 
The exchange will target mid-level staff writers of daily print publications (possibly broadcast), with an energy and resources background.  Each will be required to produce in-depth stories on their return.
 
The topic for the Australia to Korea exchange will be decided in consultation with the KPF.
The Korea Press Foundation has already secured its funding for this financial year and is confirmed as a partner of the exchange.
