Ms Lina Limosani
Limosani Projekts is working with Seoul International Dance Festival to bring the multidisciplinary production BÁRBAROS to the 2024 SIDance Festival. BÁRBAROS is a dance, live sound, and visual art/design performance that navigates the ambiguous and inescapable relationship between civilisation and barbarism. Its themes are current, profound, and thought-provoking, resonating with contemporary issues and universal questions about the human condition. Through this activity, Limosani Projekts and Artistic Director Lee Jongho, aim to engage Korean audiences in a powerful exploration of these themes, fostering cultural exchange and expanding the horizons of artistic expression. This cutting-edge work promises to be a standout at the 2024 SIDance Festival, offering a unique and immersive experience that transcends borders and inspires meaningful cross-cultural dialogue. Our project involves rehearsals in Adelaide, Australia, then one-week tour to Seoul that includes cultural engagement opportunities such as a lecture, masterclass, two-performances, and post-show talk. These offerings will facilitate a sharing of the disciplines and aesthetics that underpin our artistic work, allowing for a deeper understanding of diverse arts perspectives and practices globally that are informed by our cultural influences. BÁRBAROS' cross-artform nature will help SIDance expand audience outreach and engage with a wider and more diverse demographic of Korean audiences.
