L2P Murraylands
Purpose:
The project will engage 30 local unemployed people for 75 hours of driving lessons to complete a Learner's Driving Permirt. Participants will be supported with access to a vehicle and driver mentoring throughout the program duration. L2P aims to provide increased employment opportunities to eligible participants through the development of an employment pathway in achieving qualification for a Provisional Driving Licence, identified as key employment criteria for regional employment. Participants will have the opportunity to remain connected to the program to achieve the Learner Driver requirement of 75 hours of in car driving building their capacity and capability to achieve this goal. Mentors will also provide guidance and support to participants building confidence and self esteem and local employment networks as they reach this important milestone.
