Grant Program:
Investigator Grants
Grant Activity:
Developing a next generation dendritic cell therapy for solid tumours
Purpose:
Cellular therapies are designed to boost the patient's immune system to better fight cancer. Dendritic cells (DCs) are sentinel cells whose normal function is to alert the immune system to infection or cancer. We are developing a method to engineer DCs that we aim to deliver to patients as a new class of cell therapy. In this project we aim to produce enough supportive data to progress this therapy towards a clinical trial in solid cancer patients.
