Purpose:
Through this project, Ixom will purchase and install specialist reactors, storage tanks and ancillary equipment to enable Monochloroacetic Acid manufacturing at its facility in Laverton, Victoria for supply to crop protection manufacturer Nufarm.
Ixom aims to reduce vulnerability in Australias supply chain for the herbicide, 2,4-D by manufacturing Monochloroacetic Acid, which is one of the main raw materials used to make 2,4-D and is currently imported to Australia from overseas.
