Parent Engagement Presentation -- Numurkah Secondary College, Victoria
The purpose of the Grant is to deliver a parent engagement presentation to parents/guardians of Year 10, 11
and 12 students from Numurkah Secondary College, Numurkah, Victoria.
The grant will directly support parents/guardians to build knowledge of Vocational Education
and Training (VET) pathways into entry level positions and career opportunities in the Shepparton Region for
influencing students career choices after completion of their education.
The intended outcomes of the Grant are to:
• Increase parent/guardian knowledge of the skill shortages and emerging occupations in the local region.
• Increase parent/guardian knowledge of the local labour market.
• Provide Parent/guardian understanding of their influence on a young person's career choices
• Address the high youth unemployment in the Shepparton region.
The Grant contributes to the achievement of promoting growth in economic productivity and social
wellbeing through access to quality skills and training.
