Bandicoot Super Highway Project
Purpose:
This community-led project will assist in the protection and connection of Endangered Southern Brown Bandicoot populations. The project will support the initial design and piloting of a range of science-based approaches to supporting Bandicoot recovery and conservation on private and public lands in the Mount Lofty Ranges (MLR) South Australia. The project will achieve the following outcomes: 1) build the capacity, knowledge, and confidence of community to manage bandicoot habitat; 2) improve the quality and quantity of bandicoot habitat through interventions and establishment of demonstration sites; and 3) mobilise and inspire communities to be involved in restoration by increasing the profile of Southern Brown Bandicoots and this project.
