Grant Activity:
EarGenie: A diagnostic system to transform the management of infants with hearing loss
Purpose:
After an infant is diagnosed with a hearing loss via new-born screening, it is critically important that a hearing aid or cochlear implant is provided as soon as possible: otherwise language development is significantly and permanently impacted. In this project we develop a novel hearing assessment system that will reduce the delay between diagnosis and provision of the optimal hearing solution for each infant from 9-24 months down to 2-6 months, thus leading to improved quality of life.
