Purpose:
Galen Catholic College is sending 25 students to the 2019 VEX Robotics Australian Championships in Adelaide, South Australia. Students will compete in a robotics competition with other students from all around Australia. As part of this competition the students will also participate in a range STEM activities designed to increase student involvement in STEM based programs and to encourage and increase the participation rate of females in STEM fields. Students will then bring their skills and knowledge back to Wangaratta and use it to mentor fellow Galen Catholic College students and students from other Wangaratta Primary and Secondary schools to improve STEM engagement in and around Wangaratta.
