Purpose:
The Self-Healing Ceramic Coatings for Extreme Environments in the 21st Century is a joint project of the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) and the Nagaoka University of Technology, National Institute of Technology Kushiro College, National Institute of Technology Fukushima College and Japanese Atomic Energy Agency. The purpose of this grant is to identify and generate novel self-healing ceramics that are compatible with alloys routinely used in industry processes and subjected to extreme environments resulting in fatigue and corrosion.
