Grant Activity:
Optimising patient outcomes from epilepsy neuromodulation
Purpose:
There is an urgent need to improve the health outcomes & life trajectory for people with uncontrolled seizures, and to reduce the economic burden on our health system. Neuromodulation with deep brain stimulation (DBS) can benefit people struggling with the impacts of epilepsy. My program will focus on improving DBS settings, investigating long-term effects, and understanding how the treatment works, accelerating clinical translation to improve outcomes for people living with epilepsy.
