Purpose:
This project will upgrade the existing wind sock poles with swing mounted poles at six very remote aerodromes across the Northern Territory. This will improve safety for pilots and maintenance providers while also reducing the need for specialist equipment for working at heights. The aerodromes include Finke, Kintore, Mount Liebig, Nyirripi, Willowra and Yuendumu. The upgrades will enhance safety and access for all users enabling the continued delivery of essential services, including aero-medical services, for their communities.
