Girl Guides are for STEM
Purpose:
Girl Guides Association of Victoria will run a project to identify a team of STEM leaders who will develop a workshop program for other Unit Leaders to develop their capacity to run STEM activities. With collaboration from Deakin University up to 400 Unit Leaders across Victoria will have the opportunity to attend workshops to develop STEM activities and inspire girls aged 5–17 years to be more curious about STEM. The program will include robotics, 3D printing, environmental STEM and an introduction to entrepreneurship with several camps held to encourage participation of girls. Girl Guides Victoria will promote STEM and STEM careers amongst 4,000 girls to further develop their curiosity in STEM.
