Lanterns Light Up Korea Town will incorporate a coordinated media campaign, launch and display of Korean Lanterns in the newly established "Korean Town" of Eastwood during the 2024 Lunar New Year celebrations. The aim of the project is to encourage more people to attend the Eastwood Korea Town precinct and to increased engagement with Korea Town from both local residents and the broader community. This will improve cross cultural understanding and link people with the Korean businesses and cultural activities in the area. The project is supported by local Korean organisations including the Korea Town Working Group. It is anticipated that the outcomes of the project are: * increased visitors to the newly established Korea Town in Eastwood * greater awareness in the broader community of Eastwood Korea Town and aspects of Korean culture that are represented in the precinct * activation of the Korea Town precinct to provide greater opportunities for sharing Korean culture and activities
