Purpose:
The Project comprises:
Infill 2D seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation over the EP187 permit area;
Drill Carpentaria-2 vertical section; and
Drill, fracture stimulate and production flow test Carpentaria-2 horizontal section.
The planned 2D infill seismic is to further delineate the shale resource and for near-term well planning, including Carpentaria-2, Carpentaria-3 and / or Carpentaria-4.
The key objectives of the Carpentaria-2 well program are to:
Optimise basin specific drilling, completion and fracture stimulation practices; Identify the Velkerri shale sweet spot in the EP187 permit;
Define a horizontal production type curve for development planning; and
Demonstrate commerciality through sustained production flow of a horizontal well.
