Purpose:
This national program will reach over 5 million community members through a community education campaign and increase the capacity of 1000 plus professionals and educators to prevent, identify and respond to child sexual abuse. This will be achieved through a targeted social marketing campaign and the provision of evidence based nationally consistent professional development activities.
The program directly links to the primary and secondary prevention public health approach to preventing child sexual abuse and harmful sexual behaviour that is outlined in the final report of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
