Harnessing the power of Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs): demonstrating novel applications of PROs in the care of oncology patients
Purpose:
Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) empower patients to communicate their symptoms and needs to clinicians. Understanding the impact of treatment from a patient’s perspective is vital to ensure their concerns are addressed and to inform improvements to cancer care. This study will examine new ways of using PROs to understand the patient experience, enable treatment side effects to be captured and communicated with patients, and promote the collection of PROs in clinical registries.
