Purpose:
The Federation Motel was built circa early 1970s. The infrastructure is 'as is' being clunky, inefficient, noisy and costly to run nowadays. This project will bring the establishment into the 2020s from a comfort, climate control and energy usage perspective. Key activities will be replacing old and installing new energy efficient reverse cycle air conditioners and the fitment of double glazed windows to reduce energy consumption. Benefits to the business will be a significant improvement in the aesthetics internally (quieter, cooler in summer, warmer in winter) leading to greater demand and improved room occupancy. We anticipate a slight rate increase per night may also be possible. The addition of reduced energy bills is an added benefit.
