Purpose:
We aim to establish an open makerspace for students and teachers to encourage the integration of practical skills, creativity and entrepreneurial thinking into the curriculum. The space will allow for innovation and deeper learning exploration. One of the focuses will be the integration of different subjects providing the opportunity for teachers to collaborate across disciplines so that students are able to make connections, for example STEM related activities across subjects. An after–school Maker Club will be established where students will be encouraged to explore their creativity, problem–solving and innovation. This will develop student s resilience, ability to adapt and respond to changes brought about by STEM.
