Early detection of insulin-resistance with a mixed meal challenge - The REFINE study
Purpose:
Insulin resistance is a precursor to type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke. We have developed a new more sensitive test for doctors to use to screen people with insulin resistance. Detecting people in the community with insulin resistance can help doctors inform patient care to prevent people from developing these chronic diseases.
