Purpose:
Genomic medicine represents a step change in medical sciences. Yet Indigenous Australians are not represented in, engaged with, nor have equitable access to the benefits of genomic research. Our national consortium will build Indigenous leadership in genomics through Empowering Communities; data sciences; understanding genomic variation; uncovering multi-omic signatures of disease; and translate these findings to health care, ensuring Indigenous peoples can lead genomic research on their terms.
