Grant Activity:
Unravelling the Contributions of Sleep Dysfunction to Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia
Purpose:
My research program will determine whether poor sleep should be a therapeutic target for reducing dementia risk. Using longitudinal cohort studies, I will identify the changes in sleep that most strongly predict the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Results will guide targeted sleep interventions to reduce dementia risk and help select at risk subjects for inclusion in dementia prevention trials.
