QASMT First Tech Challenge Regional Competition 2022
Purpose:
The Queensland Academy of Science, Mathematics and Technology is Education Queensland's flagship selective entry STEM focused school. Robotics is a key component of the school's extracurricular program for students. This project supports Robotics students from years 8-11 to compete in the First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics competition. FTC teams are challenged to design and build a robot using a kit of parts within a common set of rules to play a sophisticated field game. Each year there is a new challenge to complete. Teams are rewarded for their technical skills, and spirit as they engage in outreach. Students make connections with teams at home and abroad to build an atmosphere that FTC value as Gracious Professionalism.
