Purpose:
The purpose of the Grant is to deliver a two-day shearing and woolhandling accredited skill set to six (6) Year 11 and 12 students from Yorktown Area School, South Australia. The Grant will directly support students to improve skills for gaining employment as sheep shearers and woolhandlers in the agriculture industry, supporting the skill shortages in the local region. The Grant contributes to the achievement of promoting growth in economic productivity and social wellbeing through access to quality skills and training.
