Purpose:
Football Australia will deliver a high-performance pathway program. The program will prioritise Pacific female athlete development through the implementation of a high-performance training scholarship program, culminating in the opportunity to take part in A-League team trials, and the delivery of a Four Nations tournament in Australia. The program has an explicit focus on the development of inclusion of women and girls in Football in the Pacific. Objectives include 1) developing pathways for Pacific teams to play in high-level Australian sporting competitions and 2) creating pathways for emerging Pacific athletes to benefit from high performance coaching and training.
