Improving care for low back pain
Purpose:
Low back pain is the number-one cause of disability worldwide, affecting an estimated 540 million people at any one time. The disease burden due to low back pain has increased by 54% since 1990, threatening the sustainability of health care systems globally. My research will address the growing burden of low back pain by providing new knowledge on the effect of analgesic medicines and on works to improve the research translation of evidence into care.
