Australia–India Research & Development in Radio Astronomy (ARDRA) Workshop
Purpose:
Building on the momentum generated by the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project in both Australia and India, Curtin University will run a joint Australia–India workshop to advance radio astronomy research and collaboration between the two countries. The theme of the meeting is transformative opportunities arising from participation in the science, instrumentation and operations of the SKA and its precursors in Australia and India. The workshop will cover Science, Instrumentation & Techniques as well as Operations with a particular focus on lessons learnt from low frequency facilities in Australia and India such as the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA), the upgraded Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (uGMRT), and the Australia Telescope National Facility (ASKAP). A report on possible joint Australian and Indian collaborative programs to support SKA Low will be provided following the workshop.
