Research Fellowship
Grant Activity:
Arbovirus-Induced Inflammatory Disease: Mechanisms and Approaches to Therapy
Purpose:
This fellowship will investigate how interplay between the immune response and viral counteractive strategies determines the outcome of infection. I will also further develop my licensed drugs and vaccines through to clinical trials and to market for viral disease. My vision is that knowing how the virus and the immune system interact to determine disease severity will assist in devising new treatments and prevention programs to lessen the impact of viral diseases in Australia and worldwide.
