Joey's Maker Space Project
Purpose:
The Joey's Maker Space will be a stem related Maker Space for K–6 that will provide opportunities for all students to engage and develop STEM and critical thinking skills. The project aims to encourage students to develop practical skills, creativity and entrepreneurial thinking, and gain experience in working with emerging and advancing technologies. It will be a permanent space that will ensure good management of resources but will also provide the flexibility to allow for equitable classroom access via mobility of resources to all classrooms and outdoor learning spaces, and lunch time access for students who are interested.
