Grant Program:
2020_MRFF_PHCRI_Primary Health Care Research
Grant Activity:
Improving diet quality of patients living with obesity: A randomised controlled trial to build effective dietetic service delivery in a primary health care setting
Purpose:
There are very few publicly available weight management services led by dietitians the experts in dietary advice; leaving 30 percent of Australians living with obesity limited treatment options. To address this gap, General Practitioners (GPs) will be able to offer their patients referral to a digital weight management trial led by clinical dietitians who will deliver cutting edge, high quality, cost-effective dietetic care for weight management.
