More Efficient and Cost–Effective Powertrains Systems for Electric Vehicles
Purpose:
Based on Lithium–Sulfur battery technology, the most promising competitor to outperform the Li–ion technology in electric vehicles (EVs), we aim to develop an innovative powertrain for EVs (from the battery to motor) with a focus on increased efficiency and reduced cost, to enable massive deployment of EVs. Additionally, with a focus on training future engineers for the Australian automotive industry, a key target is to educate eight graduate students selected from Monash MotorSport team and equip them with the state–of–the–art automotive engineering skills.
