Purpose:
Westurn Engineering Pty Ltd produces precision machined components to tight tolerances; from receiving a sample part, through Reverse Engineering (“REâ€?), design/drafting, manufacturing and Quality Assurance (“QAâ€?). Funding will be used to improve the efficiency of our RE and QA processes through the implementation of Industry 4.0 technology in the form of a Coordinate Measuring Machine (“CMMâ€?) and/or 3D Scanner. This equipment will complement our existing advanced CAM machine programming capabilities, as well as providing new avenues for business expansion. We aim to bring on 1–2 new staff to handle the expected increase in work, as well as training all our existing workshop staff in the use of the advanced measurement equipment.
