Grant Program:
Targeted Research
Grant Activity:
Transforming inclusive multidomain dementia prevention lifestyle initiatives for culturally and linguistically diverse older Australians
Purpose:
Australia's population is multiculturally and linguistically diverse, with Western Sydney being the epicentre of Australian migration. Yet much research targeting dementia prevention does not address diversity challenges such as cultural and language barriers. This project will run co-designed pop-up brain health campaigns targeting dementia risk reduction awareness for Western Sydney's top three cultural communities (Arabic, Chinese and Vietnamese) to drive dementia risk change.
