Co-designing and evaluating the effectiveness of a digital parenting intervention with peer-coaching for parents of adolescents with emerging mental health problems
Purpose:
This project aims to develop (through co-design) and evaluate a new trained peer workforce of parents with lived experience of caring for adolescents with mental health problems, to provide video-conferencing coaching support for parents engaging in the evidence-based Partners in Parenting online program due to concerns about emerging mental health problems in their adolescent. This new program fills a crucial gap in family-inclusive primary healthcare services for adolescent mental health.
