Inhibiting ASC with small molecules for treatment of inflammatory diseases
Purpose:
During flu infection inflammation causes significant morbidity there is therefore a need to reduce this inflammation while tackling the viral infection, we have special molecules that have this dual action. We will develop these molecules so they can become future drugs and explore their use in flu models combined with either asthma or obesity as these people are particularly vulnerable to the deadly effects of flu.
