Purpose:
Reduce energy consumption of heating/cooling systems by replacing 20 outdated RAC air–conditioners with 4 / 4.5 Star MEPS rated, Wi–Fi enabled, inverter, split air conditioners. Wi–Fi mobile app allows motel staff to control set temperatures in guest rooms & monitor real time energy consumption. Smart switches automatically switch unit off when room is unoccupied & integrate with existing access control systems. Lay R5 insulation in ceilings of 15 rooms in Eastern Wing of motel. Project will significantly reduce energy consumption (heating & cooling can account for over 75% of room energy use), allow staff to control heating/cooling in guest rooms, reduce noise, & increase customer comfort & safety.
