Purpose:
The Broadway Hotel is housed in an early 20th century building. When built, there was little consideration of environmental factors. Parkes is located in central west NSW, very hot in summer and cold in winter. This project (with the grant) will co–fund initiatives that will materially improve the internal comfort of our customers, whilst reducing energy consumption and costs for the business. Key activities include replace old and install current (new) generation reverse cycle air conditioning units; fitment of double glazed windows/doors to help keep the heat out in summer and keep the heat in in winter; and fitment of insulation batts to the ceiling cavities.
