Workshop – "What Employers are Looking For"
Purpose:
We will partner with 'CareSouth', 'Konekt Employment Nowra' and 'headspace Nowra,' to offer a workshop for young people who are looking to enter the workforce. It will take the form of an interview panel with several of the regions top business people/employers invited to take part. The aim is to identify what employers are looking for in an employee, shed light on expectations and provide their expert tips. There would also be an opportunity to ask questions and receive advice from other experts in the room after the panel discussion ranging from resume tips, to personal grooming etc depending on where the young person feels they need guidance. This would be delivered in a positive and supportive environment to encourage participation in the local workforce, build the necessary skills to enable this to happen and directly introduce employers will potential employees for the best possible outcomes.
